The main objective of this project is the specific elimination of senescent cells using senolytics (drugs that selectively induce the death of senescent cells). As we age, our body accumulates senescent cells, which produce harmful effects in the body, and which could have a causal role in the appearance of diseases associated with risk groups affected by COVID-19. This places the senescent cells as targets, where the drug exerts its action, to eliminate or alleviate the symptoms of the infection.
