The goal of this project is to understand the reality of Spanish households and homes during lock-down (COVID-19). This knowledge will enable us to establish intervention strategies and other social, environmental and sanitary measures, thereby making conditions more adaptable to health emergencies. Staying at home for long periods generates changes in the patterns of use and occupation; changing needs brought about by COVID-19; over-exposure to the indoor environment; and the socio-economic, environmental, and health consequences experienced by dwellers. The results will enable us to: 1) evaluate the impact of confinement as a public health measure, and the degree of resilience of housing to similar situations; and 2) develop action strategies, good practices, recommendations on public policies and regulations.
