Development of an effective prototype of FFP3 protective masks made of multilayer material
One of the most relevant actions against SARS-CoV-2 contamination is the development of a protective FFP3 face mask [Filtering Face Piece, class 3, the most effective, with 98% filtration] optimized to avoid (i) the penetration of the virus into the body by inhalation and (ii) to subsequently inactivate the virus. Due to the massive demand and the improved protection required, the materials used now are an insufficient barrier and/or are not available.
This prototype is being developed jointly with the company Bioinicia S.L., which is committed to offering them first in the Spanish market through existing distributors. In addition to the biodegradable characteristic of the material.
